So, moving in with someone is relatively easy...sure the lifting heavy boxes up some stairs is tough, but it's usually all finished in a day. Then there is just the figuring out of whos stuff goes where and how it all fits together in one little apartment. But living with someone is a whole other story. Let's just say that I'm a little too crazy about cleaning and organizing and John is...well, not crazy about either. At least he still seems to be crazy about me though!
What are your thoughts about sharing responsibility in a household? Who should handle the chores, the grocery shopping, the dinner planning? Or, how should these tasks and chores be shared? How do you handle different laundry habits? How do you adjust to one schedule of Monday-Friday, leaving at 7am-coming home @ 6pm vs. another schedule of "Day you're on the schedule"-"Day you have off" (often nine or ten days in a row, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, but rarely weekends together) leaving at 9am-coming home @8pm?
Sometimes it just feels like these schedules are so stressful. Dinners at 8:30pm are definitely not helping the diet/exercise routine, nor the cranky attitudes of coming home from a long day hungry and tired, only to eat dinner, unwind for an hour or two and then head to bed to do it all again the next day. And all this in our young 20s? Seems like sometimes life becomes more of a backseat to schedules and jobs and you only witness your actual life in fleeting moments. How do you escape that vicious cycle?
Don't mean to be a downer today, but sometimes it just helps to say it all outloud...or at least type it all outloud! It's late, I'm off to bed.

Sad Mac
Sorry for the week with no post folks! My mac laptop is currently out of service and in the apple hospital...so sad. They couldn't figure out the problem at apple, so they have to replace the entire hard drive!
Lucky for me I purchased the extra warranty protection when I got it last March, so this fix will cost $0 out of pocket. Unfortunatly, when I became the World's Best Girlfriend I moved the modem and wireless internet connection out to the livingroom so that Johnny could play his video games online while I used the internet. That means that I can't just hook up my desktop computer for internet while my laptop is being fixed. And what does no internet at home mean? As you already know it has meant no blog posts or fun messages to my fellow bloggers...sorry peeps! It also means that I must remain on hiatus until such time as my mac is home and over her recovery (or unless I get a few quick minutes after work to post...like NOW!).
They said it should take 5 days for the new HD, so I'm calling tomorrow if I don't hear anything. Wish me luck!

Night Shots
Well, John and I did manage to stay up for the meteor shower the other night, but the city lights were just too close for any kind of true show (plus it wasn't the peak night). BUT, we did see one brilliant shooting star, just as we were heading in to call it a night on Tuesday. It felt magical to see it together at that moment and oh so romantic too!
Wednesday night I tried my luck at some night time shots of the statehouse for the cover of Town and City Magazine this month. I'm exhausted after finishing this months issue in two days. It's our longest issue in over a year at 52 pages, plus an insert booklet of an additional 20 pages. I'm pretty proud, but it was torture working two 12+ hour days straight in a row. No more of that! Anyway, it looks like one of the shots will make the cover, so that will be fun to see. Hope you all have fun plans for the weekend!

Long Night and No Shooting Stars...
I'm sad to say that we haven't been able to see any shooting stars from the Perseid showers, as it has been far too cloudy here. We tried last night with no luck and we were going to try tonight too, but I had to work until 8:30 and I'm getting very tired, very quickly. Hope you all had a great day. I'll try to be more entertaining tomorrow, I promise!

Drunk with Craftiness!
That is what happens to you when you're crafting until 4 in the morning with some great friends!!!
This weekend was the Summer Studio Crop at Colorful Creations down on Cape Cod. The crop was Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but I had to work on Friday so I joined Jenn and Steph on Friday night around 9pm and then the silliness ensued. We headed to Jenn's new "island" (super cute new apartment) and I learned how to make Margaritas...so yummy! Girl talk was in full swing until about 3am and then we headed to bed to gain our beauty sleep for a full day of craftiness on Saturday.
We slept in a little late and arrived at the store around 10 or 11am to get busy. I started on a mini book for my sister's family to celebrate the purchase of their first home and that kept me busy for most of the day. Then I moved on to a few cards with my favorite stamps...A*Muse! We had a dinner break at 6:30 and then back to the studio until midnight to work on a Love mini album for Johnny. Well, midnight is when the actual studio crop ended for the night. But since we were with the nearly famous Miss Jenn, Steph and I got the VIP treatment and got to stay and keep our craft on! This is where things go a little crazy...hehehe. We were so inspired that we just couldn't stop, we got silly, then funny, then snippy, then mouthy, then back to silly and inspired again. When we finally called it a night, it was actually 4 in the morning!!! We headed home and crashed.
We got about 5 or 6 hours of sleep and then headed back for another full day on Sunday. I worked on more cards and then a scrapbook page. I still need to finish these off with some ribbon (for the cards) and a photo (for the page), but I wanted to get the pics up today, as promised. The girls and I made a pact to get our posts up with our project photos today, so be sure and check out their pages ASAP.
John even said when I came home that girls weekend was just what I needed and added..."wow, you really seem to be back to your happy self!" It was such a nice break and it really got my creativity back in the groove. Hope I can turn that into a pattern and keep it a part of my weekly schedule. I couldn't figure out how to add an album to my blog to share all the pics, but I have added a few that detail the projects that I worked on. Enjoy!

No Photo Love These Days
Geesh, I need to get my camera out and take some pictures! It has been over a week since I've taken any pictures and that just isn't right. But, I did finally order myself a wireless remote for more self pics of John and I. Oh what fun we'll have! Hope you're having a great week. It's halfway over tomorrow!
